Adjust Screen Brightness

Keep the screen brightness at a comfortable level. Avoid extreme brightness, which can cause eye strain, and overly dim settings, which can make you squint and strain your eyes.

Use Blue Light Filters

Enable blue light filter settings on your device or use blue light filtering apps. Blue light from screens can disrupt sleep patterns and cause eye discomfort.

Maintain Proper Distance

Hold your phone at least an arm's length away from your eyes. Keeping the device too close can strain your eyes over time.

Follow the 20-20-20 Rule

Every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break and look at something 20 feet away. This helps to reduce eye strain by giving your eyes a chance to refocus.

Blink Regularly

Blinking helps to keep your eyes moist and prevents dryness and irritation. Staring at screens can reduce blink rate, so make a conscious effort to blink more often.

Use Larger Text and Icons

Adjust the text size and zoom settings on your phone to reduce the need for straining your eyes. Larger text and icons can make it easier to read without getting too close to the screen.

Regular Eye Exams

Schedule regular eye exams with an optometrist to monitor your eye health. If you experience persistent eye discomfort, get your eyes checked for any underlying issues.

Adjust Text Size and Contrast

Increase the text size on your mobile device and ensure good contrast between the text and background. This reduces the effort your eyes need to put in to read, making it more comfortable for prolonged use.
